Hello. Yesterday we filmed the 6th episode of Marlin the Elite. Episode 5 is uploading to YouTube right now, so go check it out. Also yesterday, while we were filming, our beloved TP camera kind of broke. The light up buttons that you use to play, stop, rewind, fast forward, (etc.) stopped lighting up/working. We had to use Kevin and Kyle's camera for the rest of the shoot (luckily, their camera takes the same kind of tape). I also thought that the eject button to eject the tape stopped working as well, but it turns out I was just doing something wrong. So we are now/going to be in the market for a new camera soon. Of course, any money you can donate would help loads :) So that's all for now. Enjoy the new Marlin episode.

Well, today is a sad day in history :( , but luckily not for Thomas Productions! We've pumped out three episodes from our new series, Marlin the Elite. I would say that they've been a hit (although more comments and views would still be nice). Episodes 4 & 5 are just about complete. Episode 4 should be on YouTube sometime tomorrow, and episode 5 should follow sometime on the weekend. We are planning to shoot episode 6 soon and release it around the week of the 17th. Then things will start to mellow out in the terms of Marlin. We will continue to make Marlin episodes (as we have scripts for five more), but more casually and more spread out. Because of all this movie mania, recording a new TPCast has been pushed to the bottom of the agenda. Maybe we could push out a mini episode on the 21st. Anyway, I'm assuming you guys would rather have more movies. So keep checking out our YouTube page for all of our new stuff.

Well, my internet just came back on after being out for about a day, otherwise I would have written this sooner. Kevin, Kyle, and I have made good headway in the world of TP: we have made (one fully complete and the other filmed) 2 movies that we hadn't planned on, and in doing so, started a new video series (and remember: this isn't the video series that I've been talking about. This is TOTALLY DIFFERENT!!). If all goes well, the completed movie should be up on YouTube TONIGHT!!! So now there's TONES of new stuff coming out! Just thought I'd give you guys a heads up.

Hello. We just did the TPCast and episode #38 is now online. Also, thanks to Kevin and Kyle, I got the forums to work on my computer!! Yea!!! Next week we will start using the forums again for the polls. Also, I have updated and reformated the Coming Soon page on the website, so go check that out. We also briefly discussed the two new projects we're going to start work on: 1) A short film and 2) a video series. I can not go into either of them any further (we want to keep them surprises so you'll enjoy them more when you see them). So that's it for today. Bye.

Forum Error Feedback

Hello. I had mentioned on the podcast that the TP forums didn't show up on my computers, but Kevin & Kyle said that they could access them on theirs. So I am asking if you (all the readers of this blog) to go to our forums and see if they show up on your computer. Then, please email me (layne_thomas@thomasproductionsinc.com). I would really like to know if it's just my computers that have the problem. If the majority of the people can't access them though, then I will put up the back-up forums. Thanks!

Hello everyone. As you may know from listening to TPCast # 37, the Jailbirds script is now complete and will be filmed and released hopefuly in December. Also, our movie Poop is awaiting the editing step and will hopefuly also be released before the year is up. Also, we will be starting work on a new short film (aiming for 5 minutes) that, if all goes well, will be out by the end of August. In addition to all of this, I have started some work on what will hopefuly be a new video series. It's too early to say exactly when we might release the first episode, but it will most likely be in September. So lots of new and exciting things coming soon! As usual, listen to TPCast for lots of news on these subjects.

Well, it's been a while since I posted, almost about a month!So I think I'll list off some of the news since my last post. First off, over at the TPCast, were doing Summer Movie Reviews (a.k.a. reviews of all,or most, the blockbuster movies hitting theaters this summer). So far we've reviewed Ratatouille and Transformers. Next will be Harry Potter and the OOTP. Sadly, that won,t be this week because Kevin and Kyle are off in Legoland at the moment. Anyway,secondly, we have a new page on the website called the "screening room" were you can watch all our latest films. Go to thomasproductionsinc.com and check it out. Next, we've been getting a lot of spam on the forums lately, and I mean a LOT. So, I've givin our moderators (Kevin & Kyle) some new forums to moderate. For those of you who don't have mod powers, you can still help by emailing me or (if you know the #) call my cell phone when you see a spam message. I usually check the forums every couple of days anyway, so it's no big deal if you don't want to report it. And lastly, we've pumped out 2 new movies: The Truth About Duel of the Fates & The Apple. Both of these can be viewed on this page thanks to the new YouTube custom players. Be sure to also visit our YouTube page (youtube.com/thomasproductions) to rate and revew the two new vids. Well, sorry I haven't been posting, but I've been busy. We finished making Pirates of the Backyard At Yard's End (you'll find some of the videos we've uploaded on the right side of the page), and I even made a short movie called "Big Hunk" yesterday (you can see that above). I'm gettng ready to go on vacation, so you won't be hearing from me for a good 2 weeks. In the meantime, check the podcast feed for TPCast #33 as well as a photocast, featuring pictures from At Yard's End. So happy early 4th of July.

I'm finally getting back on my review of Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End. If you want to hear what Kevin, Kyle, and I think of it, listen to TPCast #31 (our second "Pirate Special").

Yesterday, I did lots of work on POTB3. I modified the outline I hade made earlier, I made a rough shooting schedual (things can get very complicated when we're each playing at least 3 parts), and I even started making a prop for the movie (I cannot specify wgat it is). New Term: Pre-Production Rampage

pre-production rampage: A preiod of time during the planning of a movie when the crew and/or cast is sooooooo excited that they work on the movie as much as they humanly can before filming starts.
(Ex.) Layne was so hyped for the movie that he was about to film that he went on a pre-production rampage.

Well, that day is almost here! The excitment for At World's End is starting to mount. As I had said in my last post, the new soundtrack got me inspired to do some title work for our upcoming film: At Yard's End. Well, today I continued my "pre-production rampage" by working out and making all the menues for the At Yard's End DVD. Now keep in mind that they still lack all the pictures and scene selection menu and some of the extra stuff and...well I guess you could say I just started on it. So anyway, hopefully I'll write a non-spoiler post here on Saturday (since my showing won't get out 'till about 1:00 A.M.) and tell you how I liked the movie! And don't forget to look forward to our second "Pirate Special" podcast episode where we'll be talking about the movie in more detail (once you see it, call us at 408-565-8784 and we'll put you on the show!)!

Well, the POTC mania starts once more with the release of the AWE soundtrack. I found the soundtrack to be a lot different from the last two...some of it is good...some is bad. There's a lot less "playfull" music (like Wheel of Fortune), but there's still a lot to work with. I even got inspired to start some title work on At Yard's End. I made a rough cut of the opening as well as the end credits and a trailer. All of them are now finalized and can still be tinkered with once we get out of pre-production. Hello everyone. I am happy to say that I have the first draft of the Pirates of the Backyard 3 outline done. Of course, there will more than likely be some major tweaking once we see POTC3. Speaking of POTC3, I just got my ticket today! It's getting down to the wire! I'm hoping that Kevin, Kyle, and I can do a second "Pirate Special" the week after Pirates comes out. Should be a load of fun. After you see the movie, leave us a voicemail and tell us how you liked it. Oh! Also, the shooting dates for POTB3 have been cemented! So all things pirate oriented are coming together :)

Well as everyone can see, we didn't get to record the podcast yeaterday...or today. I think at this point we're just going to wait until Friday to do TPCast #29. As much as I hate to do it, that's most likely what we're going to do.

In other news, I just finished making another Star Wars music video (insert Kevin and Kyle groan noise here). I'm going to wait to release it until after I release Stick Adventures E. 4 (in about 1 week or more). The purpose of this is to try and spread out everything so there's not a bunch new stuff all at once.

Well, for those of you who have been living under a rock (no offense for those who have), Spiderman 3 came out yesterday. Luckly, I got tickets earlier in the week for a 7:15 (P.M.) showing that day. When I got there, the line to get in was wrapped around 3/4 of the theater! And I actually got a good seat! But anyway, the movie was great! The were a couple of really cool scenes, but I won't mention them here. The only bad part was that half way through the movie, the film got messed up and we had to wait half an hour for them to fix it. But go see the movie! I'm sure it will be the talk of TPCast #29.

Speaking of TPCast #29, Kevin, Kyle, and myself haven't been able to get together to record it yet. Hopefully we can record it tomorrow. But in the meantime, our commentary for Napoleon Dynamite has been released. So check that out. And lastly, make sure you watch Stick Adventures Ep. 3 (which is out now). Okay? Okay.

Well. Most you have already noticed that the TPMA results came in. Yea! Even though there were a couple of things that could have gone a little bit better, it still worked out great. The results will be posted on the website this Friday, but you can hear them now on TPCast #28! Also, the people who voted got an email with exclusive video of the TPMAs. So if you didn't vote, sorry. On with other stuff.

Now that Stick Adventures Ep. 3 & 4 are complete, I think I'm going to release Ep. 3 in a couple of days. As for Ep. 4, most likely in a couple of weeks. Although yesterday was Friday the 13th, I did not have any bad luck. We recorded the podcast and I tried to uploaded it...but I couldn't. I spent a good hour trying to figure out the problem, but no luck. I went to the help forums and other people were having the same problem. So I gave up and waited till this morning to try again. Still no luck, and still no one on the forums could help. As luck would have it, my left ear was hurting (I'm recovering from a cold). I went in to the doctor and she said I had an ear infection (but not before they made me sit 45 minutes in the waiting room!). COULD THINGS GET ANY WORSE?! When I got home, the podcast episode had uploaded! Yea! So if your wondering why episode #26 is late, you'll know why.

Also, The Being 3 shop has just opened. Right now, all the merch just has the Being 3 logo on it. But as we get more twards the release of the movie, pictures will begin to grace the tees and mugs and such. And in other news, the Pirates of the Backyard 3 preview (and official tittle) are out! Hello peoples. It's time for an update! To start things off, I have been working on The Being 3 a little (nothing major...a little bit of script writing...bloting out some totally cool fight sequences...stuffs like that). I would say I am nearing the the completion of 1/4 of the script. The bad part is that it's at a slow poing in the movie. There's no really heated conversations in it (not the movie, the slow part). I have some of the middle and the whole ending in mind. If I can just get past this slow part, it should be easier. Also, Kevin, Kyle, and myself have been planning some of Pirates of the Backyard 3 (official tittle to be announced). We bounced ideas back and forth and messed around in the backyard. We even roughly planned out some fight scenes. Anyway, we'll have to see the movie before we can even begin to think about how POTB3 is even going to end. What do ya know! It's the last day of February! Which means that the Valentine's Day smilies will soon be gone from the forums and it will be too late to enter the Valentine's Day Smilie Contest. I just submited my entry. It's either going to be Kevin or I who will win (unless someone else jumps in at the last second). Either way, I'm gonna have to do a LOT of counting!

Also, because of the even further delay of teh new Microsoft Office Live, I will go ahead and put the "special something" (mentioned 2 posts ago) in the website as an easter egg the next time I update it. Still no word from iTunes about TPCast. I hope I get one soon.

Hello again. Yet another new TP movie: Stick Adventures Episode 1. Again, you can view this on the right of the screen (at least till we come out with another movie!). Of course, episode 19 of TPCast is out. Speaking of TPCast, I went ahead and made the big decision to submit TPCast to iTunes. It will most likely take a couple of days to show up if they approve it. If so, this should bring some new people into the world of Thomas Productions Inc. Yea!

Also today, I revieved an email from Microsoft Office Live saying that they will switch my account from BETA to the full version tomorrow! Yea again! Finally! This means that the TP site should get a refreshing change of style. Included in that is something that I have been working on reciently thatpeople should like. I was thinking of hiding it as an easter egg on the site and wait till the Office Live went out of BETA to release it, but it looks that Microsoft beat me to it! You should plan on seeing the change the next time I update the site (most likely a little less than a week).

So that news should quench anyone's thirst! Hope everyone enjoys the Academy Awards tomorrow. I know I plan on it!

Hello everyone. I'll try to post more on the blog! Anyway, our new podcast episode is out. If you even want to, you can listen to it using the built-in player on the right (although if want to see the pictures that go along with it, you'll need to go to the official site). And if you'll also notice, there is a live Pirates of the Caribbean 3 (and Star Wars turns 30,even though there wasn't enough room to write that) countdown below that. I've been trying to post Pigeon Gone Punk on Google Video, but it hasn't been working. So I'm trying Bob's Bob Mart instead. I'm going to go check to see if it worked.

Hello everyone, and happy 2007! As some people may already know, I did recieve the Apple laptop I wanted. Thank you to all the people who contributed to that. I already put it to good use. I edited and burned numerous movies that I wasn't able to because of stupid Pinnacle such as Pigeon Gone Punk, Pirates of the Backyard (both of them), and New Years with Anakin.

Some changes are also going into effect on the TP website, such as the new online shop. This will be up and running by the time our next TPCast airs (Friday). Speaking of the podcast, we have changed over from GCast to Pod-O-Matic. The reason being is that now we are able to have what is called an "Inhanced Podcast". That means if your listening through iTunes or an iPod, there will be pictures to acompany what we're talking about. Pretty cool! This means that if you suscribed to our podcast through a podcatched (like iTunes), you need to re-subscrbe. So look forward to our next podcast, and be sure to listen using iTunes or an iPod so you can see the pictures! Once again, happy new year!

P.S. Also, I just ordered Final Cut Experess (a step up from iMovie). That should be great.
